Crooked Cowboy Public House

Our Story

A Familiar Place. A New Name.

For more than 28 years, this spot at the Crooked River Ranch Golf Course was known as The Sandbagger.

Over the last several months, Rich and Robin have been managing the restaurant and making changes to the exterior, the interior, the staff, the food and the service. Now you'll start seeing the new name over the door:

We understand that people don't always like change, and our intention is not to erase the history of a place people have enjoyed for decades. We want to keep the tradition going — keep the food affordable and the drinks flowing — while continuing to improve the food, the service, the cleanliness and the overall experience.

As residents of Crooked River Ranch and members of the golf course, we want the Crooked Cowboy to be a gathering place for the entire community — neighbors, families, golfers, RV guests, visitors, leagues, tournament groups and anyone looking for a good meal, a cold drink or a place to get together.

There's a lot we want to accomplish, but improvements take time and money, so we appreciate everyone's patience while we work through things one project at a time.
